The Parklands Mosque had its beginning more than 26 years ago. The plot on which it stands was identified and later brought by the Muslims of Parklands area.
A committee was then formed under the chairmanship of the late Abdul Gafur Ganatra and the late Abdul Hamid Bagha as secretary general to run the mosque.
Since then a number of improvements have been done to the mosque over the time including a new masjid building. Which include the Main Prayer hall which can house upto 2000 musalihs and a ladies prayer hall and Madrassa block.
Parklands Mosque operates a madrassa for children and ladies and is involved in various daawah activities. It has an active youth committee that engages in various activities including organizing for Ramadhan and Eid Prayers.
The mosque has also organized various lecture tours by world renowned scholars as a way of increasing Islamic knowledge.

Parklands Mosque

Since its foundation in 1994 the mosque has undoubtedly become an invaluable center of worship and activity, with an important role in uniting and serving the community. Parklands mosque has not only provided a prayer facility but has become a well known place of learning in Kenya. Its study circles are delivered by proficient teachers for men, women, youth and non-Muslims interested in learning about Islam.
